Cryptocurrency Firm Tether Releases Law Firm Report Attesting To U.S. Dollar Reserves

A Washington-based law firm co-founded by former FBI director Louis J. Freeh has attested that as of June 1 cryptocurrency firm Tether had enough U.S. dollar reserves to back its virtual coins in circulation, according to a report released by Tether on Wednesday. Bitcoin (BTC) and all of the other top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap were trading up on the news. Bitcoin is up 1.53% over the past 24 hours and is currently trading at $6,763.71 on Coinbase.
