Bitcoin fell over 7 percent to below $8,000 and is currently trading at $7,962.55 after Twitter announced a ban on cryptocurrency ads following Google and Facebook's crackdown that aims to protect investors from fraud. The digital currency is down more than 42 percent year-to-date after starting this year above $13,000.
