Cryptocurrency Markets Crashing: Today's Crypto Report
The bears have taken back over and are kicking the crap out of the bulls. The cryptocurrency markets continued their tumble from Friday and have slid to their lowest levels this year. Total market cap plummeted another 8.9% but trade volume was up from $11 billion to $17 billion signaling a bottom might be near, although bitcoin still may drop and test some key support levels in the range of $5,500 to $5,800. Many institutional investors are still sitting on the sidelines waiting to get in at those levels. Some of the reasons for the decline were that The Reserve Bank Of India (RBI), which is a regulatory body prohibited banks from dealing with cryptocurrencies until a hearing that will take place in late July. This caused Zebpay, which is a big cryptocurrency exchange in India, to notify its users that it would not be allow withdraws if it did not have a supporting bank, this caused some panic selling. Also, reports that Japan’s financial regulator has begun cracking down on crypto exchanges for money laundering caused more selling pressure.
